Great idea Jill. I like to do lots of different things for breakfast. Now remember I have issues with low blood sugar & respond better to carbs & my nut. told me to add good carbs to my meals.
I love the microveable omlettes, by Jimmy Dean or if you can I like the ones offered by Market Day. Market day also has some great microveable breakfast quesadillas. Oatmeal is a favorite of mine, I love the new Special K protein cereal. My yogurt choice is Dannon light & fit. A lot of times I will add a half of an multigrain light english muffin or a mini whole grain/wheat bagel with some peanut butter on top for extra protein. And most always some kind of fruit to top it all off. When I am on the go and in a hurry, it is a Adkins Chocolate Chip Granola protein bar with a banana.
I find it hard to eat in the morning. I am usually not hungry at all after I exercise. So I generally do a liquid breakfast.
I do my 2.9 oz protein shooter for 25g of protein with only 100 cal, no carbs or fat. Or I have a venti nonfat, decaf latte. This takes me several hours to get down because of the volume of the liquid, but it tastes so good and has 170 cal and 16g of protein. I was doing breakfast everyday very early on, but it was so hard for me to eat in the morning (I never was a breakfast eater), that I have instead opted for the liquid breakfast followed by a more solid lunch and dinner. This post has given me some ideas that I'm going to try out though and see how I do with them. Thanks, Jill! ~Robin

Wow you guys... Judging by what y'all eat, Im thinking that maybe I'm not eating enough protien. I try to spread mine out throughout the day. In the morning before work for breakfast, I either have an Atkins (i love them!) and some scrambled eggs w/a little cheese and maybe some tea. At about 10 Ill have one of those fit/lite yogurts and some cottage cheese or maybe a slice or two of lowsalt lunchmeat and a piece of cheese and a s/f pickle..about the same stuff for lunch.. I find that I've been diabetic for so long that I still avoid all carbs and any sugar like mad. That's a hard habit to break. It should be EASY to break, but it's not. For dinner Ill also have primarily protien, too. What I eat isn't bad, but I dont think anything I eat has 30g of protien at one time.
