support groups Lynchburg, Bedford area

Hi!  I'm new here...Idon't have a surgery date yet, but I'm expecting to have Lap-Band surgery this fall.  My surgeon expects his patients to attend a support group, but only listed those in Roanoke and cities further west.  I live in Bedford, Va., and am more familiar with/live closer to Lynchburg.  Are there support group meetings in Lynchburg or Bedford?  Thanks!
