SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!!

OH MY GOODNESS WHERE DO I START......... WELL THIS TOPIC IS ABOUT MY SLEEP APNEA TEST I WENT FOR MY SLEEP APNEA TEST AND THE TECHNICIAN SAID EVERYTHING WAS FINE I DIDNT HAVE SLEEP APNEA WHICH I WAS EXCITED ABOUT... I DID A SPLIT NIGHT WHICH MEANS IF YOU HAVE MORE THAN 40 EPISODES SHE WAKES YOU UP WELL I DIDNT HAVE MORE THAN 40 EPISODES SO SHE DIDNT WAKE ME UP. LONG STORY SHORT I CALLED JUST TO MAKE SURE AND THE LADY TELLS ME ON THE PHONE I HAVE SEVERE SLEEP APNEA.. KEEP IN MIND THIS IS TWO WEEKS AFTER MY SLEEP STUDY SO I WAS A LITTLE UPSET NO ONE HAD TRIED TO CALL ME AND LET ME KNOW THIS. SO SHE SAID I HAD TO COME IN FOR ANOTHER SLEEP STUDY BUT SINCE THEY DID MY FIRST SLEEP STUDY COMPLIMENTARY I HAVE TO GO TO MY PRIMARY CARE PHYSCIAN GET HIM TO CALL MY INSURANCE COMPANY AND GET AN APPROVAL ITS JUST BEEN ONE BIG MESS AFTER ANOTHER.... WELL I GET THIS DONE AND THEN THEY TELL ME I HAVE TO GET MY CPAP MACHINE B4 I COME TO THE SLEEP STUDY AND GAVE ME A NUMBER TO CALL WELL THEY SAID FIRST OF ALL THEY DONT ACCEPT MY INSURANCE AND ANOTHER THING THEY CANT GIVE ME A MACHINE BEFORE MY SLEEP STUDY WHAT THE HELL IS UP WITH ALL OF THIS CAN SOMEONE PLEASEEEEE HELP ME I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO AND MY SURGERY IS SUPPOSE TO BE ON JULY 30TH AND IH AVE TO BE ON THE CPAP MACHINE FOR ATLEAST 1 WEEK PRIOR TO SURGERY IM SOOO AGGRAVATED!

Good pm, What type of insurance do you have? Also, who did you call regarding the CPAP machine?  Its a frustrating situation but hopefully we can help you find alternatives. There are a couple of places I know of that may be able to assist you. 

I had sleep apnea but had to go back a second time.  The first time I went, I didn't get into a deep enough sleep early enough in the evening for them to do the split study and put the CPAP on me and titrate it (get it to the right setting).  So, I went back on another night and they put the machine on me and adjust it during the night til it had the right setting for me.   Sounds like what this is what they want to do for you. They cannot get you the machine untl they do the study and figure out what to put the setting on. Kathy

well thank you ladies for all your help i did contact first class sleep center in fairfax and they assured me they did accept my insurance and not to worry they would have everyhthing done and ready for me to be on m y cpap machine a week before my surgery so i wont have to pospone so thank god for them i got the number through a friend of mine who has had the same surgery same doctor and same insurance so i lucked out and she said they were great and she was soo right such a wonderful team thier......thanks so much ladies for your help.
