Here! Wound caring

Hi everyone I just wanted to post a bit.  I have been coming by and lurking some, but not posting because I  haven't felt much like it.  I have been trying to get an incision wound to heal with no luck.  I thought there were two separate openings but I seen my Plastic surgeon today and found out to my surprise it is one huge opening, it just had a piece of skin covering it like a bridge, so he cut the skin off and is now having me to pack it and dress it several times a day. It seems like this wound has taken up much of my spare time that I don't really have much time for anything else right now.  I miss you all and I want you to know I am thinking of  you.   hugs

Wow Judy Im sorry your having these issues, and now Im getting worried about do I do my surgery in Aug, Im praying there telling me the truth about being healed. I wont have the anchor cut so dont know if that will make a difference. Hope you will be feeling better soon, keep us updated and hang in there.

Melinda I didn't mean to scare you away from having your ps.  With the anchor cut it is very common to have the separation.  It can happen with thigh lifts too.  I'm not sure how often it happens without the anchor cut, but one thing is for sure..it will heal if it happens if you follow your surgeon's advice.  You may not end up with these issues I have had. I hope you don't hon but if you do, I will be here for you. Sorry you are having issues with your incision. I hope that it will heal up now that the doctor has seen it.

Judy!!!!!!  we miss you too. I don't post much either but you are such a wonderful person.  Thank you so much for making that cute little signature pug for me.  I just can't seem to figure it out how to get it to work.   As for the wound I had to do the same thing for my c-section wound only since I was fat I couldn't even see down there so hubby did it all for.   It is frustrating though that is for sure.   Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers hon!!!
