help! Chronic portal & lobular hepatitis
Just went to my Doc for the post-op check and he handed me the results of my Liver Biopsy (taken during the Band Surgery.
It says I have "Chronic portal & lobular hepatitis" and he referred me to a Liver specialist.
I am freeking out -- so I did some web research and it says labs for someone who has this would be: AST and ALT would be between 100-500 and mine are perfectly normal !!!
So I hope it's just inflamation (hepatistis) from all the fat in my liver -- which I might add, I saw the colored picture of my liver and the fix of the hiatel hernia - and the liver looked great, a nice color and smooth.
So I call the Liver Specialist and had to leave a message on a VM and the recording said they are booked for 6-8 weeks --- so I won't know when I will get in until they call me back.
So does anyone have any experiance with this "Chronic portal & lobular hepatitis" thing?????
Signed Donna, the fat chick who will someday be a skinny chick - who currently has a fatty liver ??

I know you are nervous. But just take a deep breath. I don't know a thing about what you are describing but, if it is going to take that long to get in to see a specialist. Have your doctor call their office. They will most usually accomadate other doctors if they call one on one.
Looks like your wt. loss is moving right along. Yeah.
