Detox Diets?

Does anyone have thoughts on detox diets to help "jump start" you back in the right direction. I've been at a plateau for a while now, and make poor food choices. I'm happy that I have not gained, but not happy that there has been no loss. Obviously poor food choices has me in this place, but I've read that a week long detox diet will cleanse your system and get you going in the right direction.  Anyone else?

Try going back to the basics Donna.  Whatever your doctor had you doing after surgery (mine was 3 meals & 2 protein drinks a day).  Focus on your protein first and then your fruits/veggies.  If you need to actually measure out & portion your meals so you know you are not overeating.  Increase your water if you can and try increasing or changing up your exercise routine.  You can do this!!

It appears that you had the Lap Band - Correct ? If that is the case , you need to really concentrate on the calories you are putting in . You can move to a diet that is  high in protein .. and low in carbs .. thus throwing your body into Ketosis ( Burning of Fat )  With your lap band , only portion control is key here .. and right food choices . So you really need to look at what you are eating and how much .  There is no quick fix diet . Only self control and good habits .. and these do not come over night .  I would suggest contacting your doctor or your nut to see what else you can do . You may need to just re-evaluate your entire food journey if you are still making bad choices .  Good Luck to you .  Tink
