VA BEACH SUMMER MEET AND GREET

OK here is what I have come up with so far .  We will meet in Va Beach on Saturday August 25th at Kokomos @ 6 pm .  www.Kokoamos.com  We will do dinner , then on to some dancing and hanging out . Here is the schedule for Saturday's at Kokoamos . 

SATURDAYS

OPEN AT 12 NOON DECK BBQ BUFFET – 12 NOON – 4 PM RESTAURANT OPENS 4 PM – 11 PM TIKI BAR HAPPY HOUR 12 NOON – 7 PM LIVE BAND OR DJ – 9 PM

 JoAnn and I will be staying down at the Beach Front . Not sure where at this point . We would also love to do a brunch Sunday Morning . Yay! Unless I go to Washington that week, I'll be there. I live off 24th street so I'll be around anytime. Can't wait to meet you guys!!!!!!!!!!

Gosh, I wish I could...  Rich's dad is in the hospital again and not sure what next week brings let alone late next month.  Plus, the Fair Oaks Bariatric annual gathering is August 25th so we'll go to that if we can and stay local. Hope you are feeling better! Hugs, K

I am so sorry to hear about Rich's Dad . Please let him know we are praying for him . I know how tiring this can be .  We will miss you both .. but you guys and us need to get together for dinner .. and let's stop talking about it and do it .  Well like I said .. keep me posted ..  Luv ..  Tink

Thanks, Tink! Rich's dad has been in the hospital since Tuesday.  He had a stricture of the urethra and bladder expanded to large size and caused lots of pain.  They got him catheterized but due to the stretching small blood vessels opened up and he is losing blood through the bladder.  They have a continuous flush on it.  He has needed a unit of blood 3 days in a row.   He was supposed to go for a lung biopsy today at another hospital.  They are now going to do it at the hospital he is at on Monday.  He has a tumor in each lung, some lymph nodes and his lower spine.  So... the news is not going to be good.  He had prostate cancer in 2003 and it could be that it spread but his PSA (prostate specific antigen) is normal so most likely this is another cancer. Rich's dad is fiesty as ever and battling the dietary staff for bread pudding with vanilla sauce which they do not want to give him since he is diabetic. I'm wiped out and so is Rich.  We could use a break.  We were actually supposed to go on a cruise in September with my family but that is not looking good at the moment.  We have insurance on it and can cancel if there is medical need. So, that's my life these days.  That and lower back disc problems. Calgon... take me away... Smooches, K

Hey Sweetie, I already sent you a reply on myspace, but will reply here too.  Count me in for two....Earl and I  will probably be getting there on Friday and staying on the beach front too, but will have to leave early Sunday morning.  So looking forward to seeing all of you!!! Hugs, Patty

I would love too, but i'll be 4 days post op and that's mine and Jeff's 6th anniversary, so this yr will be low key and a movie probably... Y'all have fun, I can't wait to see pics!!!!
