Question about PCOS and WLS?

So I have been stricken with PCOS since I had my first child at 18. My acne has continued to get worse and worse everyday! Of course the weight and missed cycles arent a piece of cake either but I didnt have acne as a teen and it REALLY bother's me to have it in the severity that I do at the age of 26. For those that have had WLS with PCOS...did your acne get better? I want to know if I need to continue with my endevores post op? Thanks Brandi~

Brandi , I will tell you this . PCOS is normally gone with the loosing of the weight . I have seen so many that had this terrible disease .. and after they lose to goal .. they are rid of it .  I have a close friend who had PCOS .. she had to get shots in order to have her first child . She had GBS .. lost @ 100 pounds .. and became very fertile . I told her she needed to use protection .. well sh e did not listen .. and at 6 months out of her surgery she was pregnant . She is happy mind you ..  I just caution you as you go through your journey .. if having a Baby is something you want to wait on .. to please make sure you are well protected .  Natalie

I actually have been an exception to the rule. I was diagnosed with PCOS only after having my first child and then I had a second one three years later and I had a miscarriage in Aug so getting prego has never been a prob for me. Im actually hoping to enquire about getting my tubes tied either before or soon after my procedure because I think Im done with the babies :) And I knew that the PCOS would decrease with weight loss because Ive lost and gained before but I wasnt sure about the symptoms of the PCOS esp the acne and hair growth but either way it's exciting to look forward to this crap going away!!!! :) Brandi~
