I got my preop date and am on my way!

Today was like Christmas again. I opened my mailbox and much to my surprise, what did I have right before my eyes? why it was a letter from Dr. Schirmer's office with all kinds of appointments inside...i was so happy i almost died :) LOL Anyways I have sleep study on August 2nd sleep study on August 14th Preop with Dr. Schirmer with a few other tests (ultrasound, AGB, and pulmonary function test) Wonder how long after that my surgery date will be???

Congratulations Nancy!!! I don't know how long after your appointments you will get a surgery date...but My guess is after he gets the results from the tests and he sees everything is ok, then he will probably schedule you. But I didn't have him, but others here on the board have and will have insight for you on that i'm sure. Good luck and I can't wait to see you posting your surgery date!!! hugs

I can't answer that either as he was not my surgeon but I would guess pretty quickly after you receive the ok from the tests! Congratulations!1 In any case you are now on your way!!!! Jackie

Congrats, Nancy!!! I'm so happy for you. It's working out just the way its supposed to. Before you know it, it will be here and you're life will be turned upside down for the better. Can't wait to hear more!

Awesome ... Awesome .. Once you get done with the test , I am sure surgery will follow soon there after . Just keep postive .. start preparing now .. as you will want to go into this fully prepared and ready to rock and roll .. !!! Please keep us posted ! Tink

Thanks ya'll. l have already been buying all of the things on my list - vitamins, protein supplements, etc. Can you tell I am excited? I am so tired of being fat. Don't forget to smile today

COngrats on all your upcoming dates. When is the pre-op date? U should have a surgery date Ill say between 2-6 weeks after tests thats a guess because I Dr Schirmer is going to be out of town 2 weeks in Aug. so as soon as the results are back and for the most they should have them in pretty quickly except the sleep study Dr Surrett will have to read and get back w/ Dr Schirmer so Im saying end of Aug most likley first parts of Sept depending how far he has already scheduled out. But just be prepared when you go in for that pre-op on a Thursday he may say Nancy Ill see ya in here on Monday morning go get your bowel prep from Anna that what happened to me so just be ready for anything. Good luck.....
