Friends..it looks like things are finally happening for me! I have a possible date either 8-13 or 8-27. I asked the lady in the scheduling office about a pre-op diet and she said she knew of none. Of course thats cool with me but I have started to pay close attention to labels and what I consume.  What are some of the protein powders that you all enjoy? I am shopping online for some. How much did you need to buy for the first couple of months?  Thanks so much... Please pray for me.

Hey Joy ! Congratulations .. I know you are excited ... and happy ...  Most know me as the Protein Queen.. and I can tell you this . The first month you will not be doing a great deal of shakes .. most is liquid diet .. and some protein .  Most protein shakes you try now .. after surgery .. you may not like . My suggestion would be to try some samples .. but do not buy large quanities .  Try this link to see some of the best samples of protein on the market today .  http://www.bariatricchoice.com/affiliatewiz/aw.aspx?A=3&Task =Click Let me know if I can help you with anything .  My first suggestion would be the ON THE GO PROTEINS - AND NECTAR  Best wishes to you ,  Natalie

Congrats!

I'm a fan of UNJURY (www.unjury.com) or Profect (www.protica.com).  Both offer samples on their websites (for purchase).

Congratulations, Joy For protein shakes I like Bariatric Advantage's WonderSlim shame/pudding mix, with 15g protein. I have tried chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry. I have purchased them online via Bariatric Choice, who ships from North Carolina - arrives in No Virginia in 2 days with regular shipping. Joe Bear

Congrats Joy!  I prefer the Isopure Dutch Chocolate.  I would definitely suggest ordering a bunch of samples of different types to find out what you like best.

Joy, Congratulations on your almost date!  Regardless of the date - it will be here before you know it!  I agree with Courtney - she turned me on to the IsoPure Dutch Chocolate and it's a great treat.  I'm also very into convenience and enjoy Worldwide Nutrition - it comes in a can (11oz/35g protein) and I get it at Trader Joes.  I'd get a bunch of samples and try them both before and after.  Lots of folks have a "taste change" after surgery - I've not noticed it that much, but better safe than sorry.   And, the nice thing about having a bunch of samples - you never get bored with one flavor!  Good luck - can't wait to see your progress.. All the best! Hugs, Chele
