Plastic surgery rescheduled/ nervous and stressed

First I want to thank all of you who wrote me last time I posted about my abdominoplasty/hernia surgery that I was suppose to have July 19th. I recieved a call the night before saying that they had to cancel it because of a family emergency with one of the doctors doing the surgery. For weeks the stress and anxiety that I delt with and NO support from certain people at home made it very hard to deal with. I have really never gotten the support I needed from him from day 1 which makes it really hard to even go through any of this.   Ok well anyway, I got my new surgery date (had it for about 2 weeks now just didnt post right away) Aug. 9th  which in now just around the corner. Again I am just trying to deal with the stress and anxiety and still NO support from home.   Again I just wanted to let you know that my surgery was back on and even though I have been trying to keep the stress level down, I am making myself crazy. Even on anxiety meds, I have pretty bad attacks.  I dont post on here alot but I am on everyday reading. The times that I have posted and needed some encouragement or support I got it from you guys.  Thank you.  Michele

Michele hang in there kido I here what your saying , I have one of those he ignores everything until the end then trys to be mr macho man lol and the nurse fairy gets on my nerves but Im used to it so now all Ive heard is well you have made these choices w/out me and I said well before I had to and you just followed this is my life my body and my soul Im doing for myself if you choose to follow so be it if not so be it Ill find someoe to cae for me if you choose not to and I bet after all said and done yours will be right there, too if not you migh twanna re-think things. But you remember one thing your doing this for #1 and if you dont do it nobody else will. Your health and well being should come first and what comes after that will come. Best of luck to you sweetie and we are all here for you whatever it maybe. And im sure some of the VA Beach local will offer helping hands if needed there all a great bunch of people here on the board. So dont forget we are here for you when you need us!!!!..

Well your time certainly is close by!  I am sorry that you still have not gotten support from home. I live in your area and although I am not anywhere near PS time, I'm here for you. If you'd like PM me and I'll give you my number.

Best of luck to you!  I'm sure that you will do just great!   I , too, did not have much support before my RNY.  I only found out about OH  a couple of weeks before my surgery.  I wish I had found it sooner.  I tell you, I have made the best friends I have ever had right on this board.  It's a SUPER group!

Hey Michele it is good to hear from you.  Glad to hear your new date is coming up.  Sorry that you are not getting the support you want and need.  Remember that you are doing what you need to do for a strong healthy you.  Some people just can't provide the things we need.  My thoughts and prayers are with you.
