Hi!
I've been really busy over the last several months and I haven't had much time to post. I was thinking about the Virginia board and thought I would drop by and say hi.
I will be 2 years post-op at the end of this month. I can't believe how much has changed in the last 24 months. I got down to a size 6 from a 24! Major for me, because untl my surgery I had never been that small. Then last November I found out that I was pregnant. Another major thing for me because we had been trying for so long that I just thought I was never going to get pregnant.
Kaitlyn was born on July 4th at 7:04am after 15 hours of labor and a c-section. She is perfect, if I do say so myself! The only real problem I had was that I did become slightly anemic. I gained 34 pounds during the pregnancy and I only have about 12 pounds to go.
Having this surgery was the best thing I could have done. It gave me my life back and I fully believe that it is the main reason that I have my sweet little baby laying in my lap as I write this.
Anyway, good luck to those of you who are just starting out in this journey. Hang on tight... it is a wonderful ride!
-Stacey
p.s. just because I have to brag, here is a pic of Kaitlyn!
