2008 Ruby Cruise

I was afraid this might get buried in the other post so: I wasn't sure of this cruise at first but after checking it out and talking with Terri (many times - she is very helpful! and a weight loss surgery patient herself) ) it looks like excellent value for the money! Plus we all get a year to save for it!! So I have decided to go on it and have put in my pre-registration today.... I am so excited!! By then I am hoping all my plastic surgeries will be over and I will be out there celebrating and sunning myself!! Anyone going to join me for September 2008??? There will be lots of other WLS people there so it is a great time to mix and have fun too - plus all these gorgeous places.  I have never cruised before but heard a lot about it and wanted to - this one is pretty affordable compared to many others........and it is over a year away so we can all get trimmed in time for it! What a way to celebrate a successful year!! They have kids' supervised programs too so kids can go as well! Have you signed up yet ?lolol!  Come on all you cruisers! Go for it! Jackie

Well you can always share a room with someone as they offer that - if you wanted to - and it is not like you will be alone exactly - so far they have 300 WLS people going PLUS you know me and I am sure some others from VA will go too........ maybe someone going solo from here will want to share a room with you? hi jackie this may sound like a stupid question but do you have to have a passport to go on the cruise?

I am pretty sure you will need one because we do get off in on four different places - Haiti, Jamaica, Grand Caymans and Mexico  - but you have almost a year to get one lol! I need my passport anyway because I am not American - I am Scottish with a Green Card...... Jackie

It is a drizzly rain - it rains like for days at a time and they don't have air conditioning in their houses - I wonder now how I ever lived without it!! Jackie

Jackie, you will LOVE cruising!!!  Mike & I went about 3 years ago & it was nothing short of amazing!  And even though they have a ton of food accessible 24 hrs a day, I didn't gain a single pound!  You do a lot of walking on a cruise ship, believe me. We've been wanting to go again so I think I'll go check this one out.  Like you said, we have a year to save up for it.  Maybe we'll see ya on the Lido deck! LOL
