hi mrs rayne... i just thought i would put my two cents in and say WELCOME TO THE VA BOARDS since i see know one else has :) congrats on your surgery and 6 months will fly by ..... my name is tiffany (its a lot short than onehotasssouthernbell ya think?) lol glad to see you here and i look forward from hearing from you in the future... im 2 weeks post op MONDAY woo hooo on my way to loosers im finally down to the 200's so i was really excited about that.

Hello Ms Rayne, I'm new too. I'm waiting for my 1st appt.  I went to a support group meeting in Roanoke last week. Thats was really great. I was sort of whiney before I went...just mad at myself for getting to this weight and size. But I felt like there was hope by the end of the meeting. Good luck, Penny

Hi penny.. i haven't gone to a support group meeting yet. they are every first thursday of the month..so i missed this month...i will be at the next one though...we're kind of in the same position..awesome!!! can't wait to hear about your appointment..

Hi Ms. Rayne, welcome to the VA board.  I just wanted to tell you that you have found the greatest place to get advice, information and support.  There is nothing (and I do mean nothing) you can ask that somebody on this board has not heard of or been through, so feel free to join in with all of your questions, comments, rants and raves.  Oh yeah, they even accept vents and fits too! Welcome. As everyone has already said, this site is a wealth of info. This is a great group of men and women. In the Hampton Roads area, we get together about once a month for dinner. Keep your eyes peeled for posts on that subject. We would love for you to join us. The more the merrier. Take care and keep us updated on your progress.
