New to the Group!!

I just wanted to post a little something to tell all of you that I am so happy that I found a Virginia Forum. I am Pre-Op with a date set for Nov 7th. I am EXCITED/ANXIOUS/NERVOUS...EVERY EMOTION IN THE BOOK! But I gotta say that I am so comforted by the site already. I can't wait to meet all of you (or whoever is willing!) and get some great friends! I live in Hampton, VA and I am lucky to have already found another member in my area. I can't wait for many many more. Congratulations to all of you who have already changed their lives and I can't wait to be part of that group!!! Lots of Love to all.  Laura

We are so glad to have you .  Please be sure to keep us posted on your journey ..  We are all here for you ... we have become like one big family here...  Be sure to check out the post about the Va Beach Get together August 25th . Thank You all so much for the warm welcome!!!! I look forward to meeting you and I might just have to check out that Beach thing on the 25th. It would be nice. Will there be any Pre-Op's there too??? Or mostly post ops? Not that it will make much of a difference, I really would love to meet people on both ends of the spectrum.

I plan on being there and I'm a pre-op!  "Ms. Rayne" will be there too and she's pre-op....

Hi, Laura! I see your a patient of Dr. Spencer, he and Dr. Moore are the greatest. I haven't been to a meeting in months, I need to do one soon. I just hate driving way out there at night, but I will do it! We meet in Virginia Beach/Norfolk at least once a month. Usually its the last Saturday of the month. This month's is pretty special because the NOVA girls are coming down as well. I wouldn't miss it if you have the chance to go. A lot of knowledge will be present. Unfortunately I probably won't be there because of a concert, but my plans may change. I'll be there for the day portion of the trip. I'm glad you found us, you'll make a great addition to our HR Crew!

Again I would like to thank everyone who has posted such warm remarks and making me feel VERY welcome!!!! I was hoping that I wouldn't have to go thru this alone (not that I don't have family/friend support) But it seems to be making it a lot easier to speak with people who are going thru it or have gone thru it before.
