Hi Laura - welcome to the VA Board! It is only natural to have all of these emotions we all had them and then some!! It is a huge life altering decision but so worth it - I don't think there are any of us here *****gret having made this decision! Before surgery I so wanted to be one of "them" and now I am and 18 months have passed - it was slow getting here and now it is flying past! Melinda, how are you feeling????It is awesome to see you up and about and posting encouraging things when you just had your ps not long ago...just like you.
As for me, I have drastically cut down on what I have been eating. I don't know if I will be able to have wls....I had a pe a few years ago, and a dvt in 99...I am high risk, I might have to do this without surgery.
What I am thinking, is just utilize alot of the techniques that is on the site here...and I do go to counseling, I realize so much of my eating is emotional, and I really dont enjoy food....
Anyway.....wait, lie there.....I LOVE nachos with shredded cheese on them, I used to love choc pb ice cream, but I dont have to have it now.
Any suggestions, feel free to talk to me...I am so open minded now, its amazing.
