LOL- sorry Jackie -  A 50's/60's themed dance - used to be held in high school gyms...think poodle skirts - etc... You have not Googled that by now? lol David

no but I guess I am going to have to now to see what the heck a poodle skirt is - I am not sure we had these in the UK lol!

Imagine a kilt that is fuller and swings out as you dance - now sew a poodle applique on it and voila - poodle skirt! :)

Oh Lord - now Bill is working out what he is going to wear!! He thinks i would look cute in a poodle skirt lol!! You can count on us to be there for sure!! Jackie

Sorry Dave I am with Jackie, What is a Sock Hop....lol. We didn't have that growing up, or maybe they did I just did not know about it. I mean I grew up in the late 70's & 80's. Ok, ok, I am about to google it now. I would like to come let me talk to hubby about it. ttyl... Mo

OK ladies, Think of the movie Grease or the TV show Happy Days. I am looking forward to this as I'll finally be small enough to wear a poodle skirt and not look like a Great Dane!

Ok, the skirt looks nice but do you just wear sock. Why is it called a sock hop? Am I sounding to dumb here. Cause I feel like I am. Mo

We had a Girl Scout function with a SOCK HOP THEME when I was like 10 :) YAY!  You can wear white socks and fold them down so they are around your ankles, bobby socks :) IE) SOCK HOP...  WOW I wonder what this will be like as an adult hmmmmm.....
