Another Hair Loss Question
I am almost 5 months post-op and have begun losing my hair. Thanks to OH I wasn't surprised and didn't freak out. Since my hair is so fine I can really tell a difference but I don't think most people can see the difference. How long does the hair loss continue? I am almost 80 lbs down now -- take my meds and biotin religiously.
Julia ,
Let me say it like this .. we are all different .. some lose it for months , others do not lose at all . As for me , I lost it around my 4th month out from surgery . It stopped about my 9th month . I had very long hair .. and ended up cutting it shorter to hide the gaps . My hair now is full and thicker than ever .
Keep taking the biotin and your suppliments . And you may need to look at your protein counts . I know that protein will assist in healing ... and may help with your hair .
Best wishes to you ,

I never lost any thank goodness as my hair is already thin and fine! But I have never heard anyone say they went bald or that it did not grow back. If you keep taking your protein and biotin you will probably minimize your loss..... Hair loss can last up tp 6 months but usually is only there for a couple of months before regrowth begins... and you are correct - in most cases people around you never notice...
