I was informed today that everything was sent to my insurance today for a medical review. They usually take 15 to 30 business days for a decision so I am stuck playing the waiting game, but to look back I thought this day would never come and now that its here I am at peace. I have done everything I can do to get approved and its up to the insurance. But if those buggers deny me then its on! Thanks to everyone for their suppor****ch out Nancy I am right behind ya girl!! I can't wait til you know your date next week. Congrats on your journey so far and let me know if you need anything  :)

That's the spirit Karen - stay calm for the waiting game - as there is no point getting worked up over things you can't control - and if they deny you, battle it out with them!! Some insurance companies deny people automatically the first time to see how determined you are - don't let it get to you! Jackie

Hi Karen - I just wanted to say I think you have nothing to worry about.  The people in Dr. Schirmer's office are wonderful!  Take a deep breath, the ball will start rolling very soon.  Stay positive and focused -- GOD will give you what you need. Jackie

Karen Don't feel you have to wait 15-30 days.  Call the insurance company as soon and as frequently as you want.  I was told it could take 2 weeks to a month for them to review my case.  It was completed in 1 week and I knew right away (even before the surgeon's office) because I called them. Keep your spirits up!  It will happen!

For me, the waiting time was the hardest thing.  I was denied twice before finally getting approved the third time;  it took over a year between my initial consult and my surgery.  IT WAS WORTH THE WAIT!!  Try to relax and wait for good news!!
