Bad chills after fill, has anynoe had them? Really bad?

I had a fill on Tuesday, my band is up to 8 cc's. I have been having really bad chills and I mean bad. Has anyone experianced this. Please  tell me. I'm getting scared really bad. Thanks Pamalou

Hey, Pam!  It wouldn't hurt to call UVA and ask for the Digestive Health on-call doctor.  They should be able to tell you whether to be concerned or not.  Hope you're feeling better soon!

HI Pamalou I didn't have lapband.  However, when I had my Tummy tuck i experienced those really bad chills to the point my teeth chattered.  My body temp had dropped.  I kept covered and drank plenty of fluids and got in my protein and that seemed to help.  I still don't know what caused my body temp to drop that next day after surgery, however, I did experience it one more time at home.  Eventually when my body recooped ....i haven't had them anymore.  Maybe a phone call to your surgeon is in order.  Hope your chills are alleviated soon. Pam .. call a doctor ... while everyone here can relate to most experiences .. some more than not . Anything medical .. or pain wise truly needs to be addressed by a doctor . And in your case , you need to call one .  I am sorry you feel bad , but the best place to go for advice .. is your doc .. sorry if this seems harsh or uncaring .. but I know first hand about infection and fever .. and it does not take long for infection to take over your body .. so please .. if you have not yet .. call your doctor .  Natalie

I absolutely echo what Natalie and the others have said - call your doctor right away - let them decide if you have an infection or not or what the issue is......... don't let it get a hold in your system!! Jackie
