Awesomest??  Is that a real word?  Well, anyway.... OMG!  I don't even know where to begin to describe how great the weekend was.  We went to "the farm" as usual, & like every other time, the unexpected occurs. Friday was girls day at the pool & go**** felt sooooo good to get in tha****er!  We laughed & joked & swapped husband stories.  We talked about my upcoming "wedding" & I got some good suggestions & volunteers.  Around 5 pm the husbands joined us & we frollicked in the water some more. Saturday....I got to feel a calf from the INSIDE!!!  Had to stand on my tippy toes & was in up to my shoulder, but oh wow!  Hmmm...I guess to some of you city folk, that probably sounds gross...sorry! Let's see, what next?  Well, since I can't ride for another week, I still got to go along for the ride in the Kabota...ummm...sort of like a....hmmm?  How the heck do I explain this vehicle??  Let's just say there wasn't too many places I COULDN'T go on the farm that horses are able to go to.  Good thing too cuz one of the horses (in training) lost his mind!  I had to carry Dennis, our trainer, back to the main farm to the round pen, horse in tow!  Made him trot all the way too...work some of the snotty out of him. That evening we all went out to the beef cow field & fed "scooby snacks" to the heffers.  It was a little scary at first cuz the whole darned herd comes running up & with their huge size, they can be very intimidating.  But suprisingly they were gentle, though persistent..."Yeah, I know I'm cute, no gimme the cookie!!!" LOL  #10  must have eaten at least 2 lbs of cow cookies outta my hand! Dennis' Dad, Charlie, cooked dinner for us all...impromptu bbq & ohhh it was onolicious!!  After dinner me & two of my lady friends went for a walk.  I actually walked nearly a mile & a half & wasn't the least bit tired!!!!  They were slick too.  "Hey, let's go check out that big boulder over there..." so we walked to the boulder.  Then, "Oh look...there's an even bigger one over there.."  It didn't take me long to figure out it was all a ploy to encourage me to walk further & further...LOL.  But hey...I did it!!!  I got in nearly 10,000 steps in one day!!!! Today...Sunday, we had a light breakfast & then it was time to saddle up horses again.  We had an even bigger crowd...15 riders, plus me & the Kobota.  There's a lot to see on 1200 acres & it makes for a nice adventure.  Sadly we did have one mishap.  One of our friends got hurt on the ride & we had to call an ambulance for her.  Once again, it was a good thing I had followed along cuz we had to go fetch the ambulance since they went to the wrong place.  Our friend suffered a severe bruised knee & mild concussion but she's home & on the mend.  I have no doubt she'll be back in the saddle in no time.  After we got back to the barn & unsaddled horses, I got to get a lesson on how to drive the 4-wheeler. OMG!  It was soooo much fun.  Most of the group then pulled out their weaponry...pistols & rifles, & we set out to do some target shooting.  I haven't shot a pistol in waaaay too many years so my grouping was pathetic, especially for being an ex-cop!  We had a terrific time & everybody shot pretty darned good, even the newbies that had never shot before. The finale of the weekend was dinner at Chili's.  Nothing like good friends & fine fellowship to make a weekend perfect.  Everyone in our group is so supportive of my journey.  Most of them even went on the internet & did their own research into lapband surgery so they could better understand what I'm going through & what a challenge I've taken on for myself. But the best part of the whole weekend was how I felt...physically!  I had so much energy & stamina.  The heat didn't wear me down like it has in the past.  I didn't need anyone to fetch & carry for me.  I was able to keep up without any problems.   Oh, such a feeling of freedom!!!! Life is good!!! Oh, almost forgot the biggest news of all!!!! I'm gonna be a Grandma again!!!  My daughter, Krista is expecting baby # 2!!!!!  Oh please let it be a little girl!!  I mean, I'll be happy with whatever God sends us, but a girl sure would be nice. So that was MY weekend.  How 'bout ya'lls??????

Hugs!

Sounds like you had a nice weekend too!  Ummm.....you LIKE to clean???  How far are you from Winchester cuz I may just have to hire you!!!!!!   LOL And yes, being healthier is soooo worth more than anything.  Now I'm anxious to get my fills.  At the moment I"m simply "dieting" which didn't work so good for me before.  I'm tempted to do liquids only for this whole week just to make sure I fit into my dress.  Think I'll call my nutritionist about that. Thanks for poppin' in COUNTRY girl!

Hugs!

Yes i love to clean..  Um Winchester ..i think hours away ugh.  Yes, dieting never worked for us ...just sent us on yo yo spins and twists and kept us under it's ugly thumb.  Moderation is the key along with lots of protein , water, and exercise..and those vitamins!!  Good luck on your continued success!  Hang in there.  Remember stalls/plateaus are a part of this journey and everyone I know of has them.  Just keep doing what you know and it will come off.  Remember slow and steady wins the race! hugs from this ol' country gal!

Isn't life great.  Sounds like you had a blast.  Just remember to take it easy for a day or two, you are still healing and you don't want to over do it.

Take it easy?????  Are you kidding me????  LOL  Oh Courtney, my love, you just wait.  You're in the early planning stages of YOUR wedding.  Wait & see how nuts you're gonna be when you're less than a week out...hehehehe!

Today I did the final headcount so I could tell my rental guy how many tables & chair I would need for sure.  Then I reworked the seating chart.  Then I made graphics of how I want the tables decorated so my volunteers can be doing that while I get my hair done on Saturday.  I still need to woodburn the farm sign today.  Tomorrow will be last-minute shopping items.   Wednesday is baking day.  I need cornbread muffins for 56 people, 1 horseshoe-shaped chocolate cake & 3 tiers for the wedding cake.  Thursday it's load up all this STUFF & haul it to the farm.  Mike & Matt need to clean the horse carriage while I do other stuff.  Friday the tent, table & chairs arrive; gotta make deviled eggs & looks like I'll have to make my homemade tater salad after all...the masses can be soooo demanding!  And this isn't even ALL the list of things I need to do. It will be a bloody miracle if I don't rip out all my hair or kill somebody before Saturday!  Here's my sanest advice for you...if you get other people besides me that offer to help....LET THEM!!!!!  Work them like dogs!!!!!!  Use their talents, imagination & anything else you can get outta them.  After all, they volunteered...you didn't ask them, so they should know what they're getting themselves in for.  I am soooo there for you, sweetie!!!  Putting on a wedding, no matter how large or small, is a daunting task so don't be afraid to ask for help or accept it when it's offered.  As for me, for all my whining, I really do love this stuff.  I probably should have been a wedding planner, or at least that's what I've been told...LOL. Tell ya what....I'll take it easy AFTER Saturday, ok?

Hugs!

Woman don't make me start worrying & stressing over something that is 2 1/2 months away. You do have a lot to do but you need to remember taking care of you comes first.  I know your wedding will go wonderfully and you will have everything in order and have a wonderful time.
