Protein - Favorite Grab and Go
Ok....some of us have been on vacation, some of us have been hiking, and some of us just lead busy lives that have required the quick "grab-and-go" protein meal or snack.
So what have been your favorites (and where did you buy it).

Okay, here are some of my favs.
Atkins Choclate Chip granola bars. Can get them at Walmart, Target, Grocery stores, Vitamin Shoppe, 7-11 etc.
Soy Chips - I like the BBQ & white cheddar, I try a couple of different brands but usually end up with Quaker from the grocery store.
Cheese sticks are a fav. Mozzarella from the grocery store or Colby from Market Day.
I used to eat the Power Crunch Protein Bars, but since my gallbladder surgery I've not been able to eat them (they don't like me!). SO, I've moved on to turkey jerky, mozz. cheese sticks and nuts (almonds are my current fav.).

OK, I need to know something. I from time to time eat some beef jerky or nuts during my two hour commute to work and feel guilty doing it. I know at seven weeks out that I do not get enough protein from just my meals and two protein shakes, but does the protein from these snacks make up for the calories? Or is it just too soon to add these?
P.S. I have no difficulty getting these down, though I do tend to spit out (into a tissue) the last of the jerky that I can't seem to grind up.

Jill...
I like the Southbeach bars, too. I eat alot of beef jerkey and cheese sticks, low sodium lunchmeat.
I can't stand MuscleMilk things or those protien shot thingys.
Shakewise, I live on the Atkins shakes and I kinda like the Worldwide one's too. Banana is good.
I get the Worldwide ones at the Vitamin Shoppe, but almost everything else I get at Wallymart.
Im sorry I missed you all this past weekend. I was planning to go and then something ticked me off and I wouldn't have been very good company...
