pschological evaluation

Hi, I am a newbie. After reading many posts I figured I'd finally drop in and say my respects. Does anyone have advice on the pschological evaluation at UVA? I'm at that point in my journey to WLS and a little nervous. Thanks!

I never had to have an evaluation so no advice there but I wanted to welcome you to the VA Board! I am sure someone will be able to help you with the evaluation question. Jackie

I just did mine this month and it wasn't bad at all. 

Great! Do you know how long it takes to hear back afterwards?

Welcome to our board!   The psych eval at UVA is not bad at all!  Just remember to breathe and relax :)  Which doctor is your appointment with and when do you go?

I had mine w/ Dr Bender 2 yrs ago and hes a sweetie remember to read your packet before going and relax. He or they are there to help you reach your goals and you will be just fine. Welcome to the VA Board and hope you can join us at some of our FFP meet & Greets.

Thanks for the welcome and the support. I quess Bender  is the man! I am so excited I can hardly wait for my appt.

In regards to Dr. Bender if you have him  like I did for my psych eval--- one other lady on this board said --- he looks like Brad Pitt. He really does!!!
