Is it just wishful thinking???

I'm down in the dumps today for some reason so you know how it is... I've been worrying all day as well.   I've completed everything for my insurance to be submitted when the insurance team gets back from vacation next week. I'm being seen at UVA so do you think it is feasible for me to get a mid to late October surgery date IF I am approved soon??? Or is it just wishful thinking?? I don't know. At this point ... I just feel like I'm walking in quick sand. Sorry to be a whiner -- just feelin' low. Thanks for listening --

Hi there Yonne,  Chin up girlfriend!  Look how far you have already come....you are so much closer now than before.  Everything will depend on what kind of tests Dr. Schirmer wants you to have prior to your preop and surgery dates.  As you well know, those appointments can take some time to get to.  If it is any consolation for you, I was approved on July 12th and my surgery date is September 12th, so I would count on a good two months from your approval date.  Hope all this helps   Plus IT IS A LONG WEEKEND!!!  Enjoy.

Hey girl (hugs)!  It will all work out.  Use this time to start preparing your body for surgery.  Start decorating the house for Fall, read a good book.  I can't really talk because my surgery is coming up quite fast and I am so anxious I can't seem to relax.  Especially since I have so much preparing to do. I am also being seen by Dr. Shirmer and if I remember correctly, when I went in on Aug.16 they were talking about a mid-Nov surgury date but my insurance has not been approved yet so maybe that can give you some idea about what to look forward to. Good Luck.
