Hey Lovely VA Ladies -  I wanted to find out how many vitamins or pills ya'll are takin' post op?  I did a query on the general RNY board and was SHOCKED at most people taking a combo of 12 pills!!!  I so have it that I will only have to take the 4 multi vitamins plus my sarafem (if Im still on it) daily and this will be it.  However, I know my surgeon is going to have me on a tummy acid reducer and one other pill for the first week or so post op.. Just being reminded of little things has put me in the DOH! Factor... LOL ..... How do YOU keep track of all the little things to keep track of ...... Amanda

Mine is pretty close to Jackie's Morning - 1st thing - 1 Centrum Chewable, 1 Zinc Chewable, 1 Folic Acid, 1 500 mg Vit-C, 1000 mg B-12 Morning - Approx 830 - 1 Centrum Chewable, 1 Zinc, 1 Vit-C, 2 Biotin Lunch - 2 Calcium Citrate (400 mg total), 1 Magnesium, 1 Potassium, 1 Glocousiam (sp - the joint pill), 2 Biotin Dinner - 2 Calcium Bedtime - 2 Calcium Monday, Wednesday, Friday - Iron Chewable in the morning (however, now that I am preparing for surgery, I have upped this to 5 times a week and on Oct 1st I will increase to daily - this is a personal choice for me, becasue iron upsets my tummy and I am not anemic). This is it for me.  My doc recommended the B12, the Iron and the Centrum.  All others I started because of info I came across.  My labs have been perfect, and I have done this pretty much since month 3. Also, my Chiropracter recommened the high does in Vit-C because it helps to repair the muscles and because I suffer from chronic congestion due to allergies.  It has helped.   Vitamins are VERY important, so make sure that you get on a regime early and follow it to a T
