I purchase it on-line, and I don't know any other way to get it. The site I purchase from is Bariatric Choice, which is a company which (I think) Tink owns or operates. They have a number of things i like, including protein shakes (Wonder Slim brand), protein bars (Wonder Slim Crisp 'n Cruncy), and iron. Other stuff too. If you ask Tink she will probably give you an online coupon to get a discount. Joe

Once you're cleared to swallow pills again, I use a brand from the Vitamin Shoppe...Solaray.

You should check with your surgeon, but I think it was at least a month, maybe 6-8 weeks. Sorry I don't remember, I just remember being SOOOO happy because the chewable stuff was not working for me (tastewise).

Here's my vitamin schedule: First thing in the AM: 2 Calcuim Pills (Solaray brand), Birth Control Pill Late Morning: 1 Multivitamin (Solaray - iron free), 1 Vitamin K (hmm..not sure of brand), 1 Omega 3-6-9 (I have low GOOD cholestrol), 1 Iron (Vitron C...Safeway or Giant), and then every other day a B12 (sublingual, Trader Joe's) Late Afternoon: 1 Multivitamin (Solaray - iron free), 1 Omega 3-6-9 (I have low GOOD cholestrol...The Vitamin Shoppe brand) and every other day 1 Iron (Vitron C) Bedtime: 2 Calcuim Pills (Solaray brand) 11 every day and 2 additional every other day....but 2 of those are "personal" (the Omega's). As a side note, I get all my vitamins locally...no online brands....which helps when I run out and "forget" to get more in time..it's just a quick trip to either the store (Trader Joe's or Safeway) or the Vitamin Shoppe. So far I've done fine with my labs...my protein transfers were a little low last time, but that's not vitamin related, that's because I quit being diligent about my protein supplements!

Amanda, Thanks for bringing up this topic.  I was grocery shopping and got slightly over-whelmed in the vitamin isle trying to figure out which multi-vitamin I am supposed to buy.  I don't meet with my surgeon for the pre-op until the 11th but wanted to get started on vitamins.  Now I have a much clearer view of what is needed. Please remember to always get clearance from your Doctor on adding or taking away any suppliments . We here all have different regimenes .. and what works for me..may not work for you .. so the best advice should always come from your surgeon or nutrician .  It is pretty neat to see what everyone is taking ..
