Plastic Surgeon Recomendations

Hello, all! I'm at the stage in my weight loss that I am looking for plastic surgeons in the area. I had a friend recomend Dr. Hopping in D.C., but I've also been told to fly down to Florida to save money. Does anyone have any experience with this or anyone they can recomend? I'm hoping for a little lipo, a tummy tuck, remove excess skin from my thighs and arms, and a boob job. While I'm under I might get a eye lift, too. Ha! :) I'm located in D.C., but that board seems to be a little quiet, so I thought I would come over here. If anyone can make any recs in the DC/Nova/MD area, that would be best! If it saves a lot, I am willing to travel, though. Thanks!

I do not know if this will save you any money but I am having a lower body lift on Monday with Dr Kreiger of Fairfax. His work is outstanding in the bariatric community. He is definitely the surgeon many of us on this board use but there are others.  I don't know how to compare costs as I never even visited anyone else. After seeing hiw work I was hooked! I do know that it is a very personal choice though. Good luck in your decision... Jackie.

Dr. Mitchell Krieger to me is the best in the field. He specializes in bariatric patients. He has done my breast lift, butt lift with skin augmentation and outer thigh lift. He is set to do my implants and arms in November.  You will not find a surgeon more capable, caring and well educated on our needs than Dr. Krieger. He is located in Fair Fax. If you would like to see my pictures they are on my profile. I have it only open to friends on my list. But if you want to see them let me know.  He is the only surgeon that I know in this area that has complete access to the hospital and uses the teams there .  I promise you, once you meet him and see his work, you will not be disappointed.  Natalie

Another vote for Dr. K in Fairfax.  My surgery is scheduled for Oct 31st (yep...Halloween day) and I cannot wait!  I'm having a lower body lift and breast lift.  Implants and thigh lift will be next year. But, I live in Norfolk, 3 hours away, so I will be travelling into the area - that says something. I met with several docs here in the area, and just didn't "feel it".  KWIM? Meet with him, and make your own decision.  He may no0t be the person for you, but definately meet with him.  He and his staff if really nice and VERY helpful.  I was late for my appoinment by 1 1/2 hours because I got really lost, and it was ok.  They talked me through the directions and told me that I would see him when I got there....without issue. Also, he will be speaking at the OH event on Oct 6th.  Check him out then and decide if you want to meet with him further. But...he is HIGHLY recommended here on the board. Good luck!

Dumb question...does anyone know how many procedures can be done at once? I'm a pretty impatient gal, so I can't imagine going under the knife twice. I've read articles that say you can only get two procedures done at once, but then I read an article about a doc in Pittsburg who can do an entire body lift in 8 hours - with the help of other doctors, of course.

I used Dr. Andrew Goldberg in Fairfax. I think his work is excellent. I had my arms done and breast/reduction/lift on 6/26 and everything just looks amazing. Thanks, Donna
