For those that had surgery and still recieved umm.... the monthly "visits" from Aunt Flo... Did she come less once lost weight? If you had painfull visists, did those lessen? I was just curious how that is affected..... Does it stop all together?

Mine have always been 3-4 days and light. Happy to report no change. Just keep in mind everyone is different.

Hey Amanda... First off, I was thrown into secondary infertility when I went over the 310 mark.  My periods left completely for months at a time.  So, I went on birth control to fix it.  Now, I stopped my birth control a month before surgery and can't start again until a month post op...but, I just had my first post op period (it was ON TIME--so, I'm thinking my fertility is returning--YIKES!) and it was normal...no different than with the patch and not painful, etc. So, happy to report that it didn't change...of course, if yours suck now...that might mean that they will continue to suck!  Hope this helps!

I (55 y.o. then) hadn't had a period in several months prior to my surgery and OF COURSE started the day of surgery! Didn't have another til summer after Co died, it went on and on and I ended up with a hysterectomy 9 months after my RNY. What a year!! But I am SO glad all that is OVER!!!! Lois

I have always been 3 days max and light. Nothing has changed and it's still on schedule.
