Still waiting.....
I will hopefully be having surgery in Oct. Still unsure of the date...maybe she'll (scheduling lady)tell me tomorrow?! I go in on Fri. morning to weigh in with PCP...Visit #5 of 6. Then i'll make my Oct. weigh in appt. and she said to call her and she'd go ahead and set up my surgery date.
I'm excited but trying not to get overly excited because I got this far once before and then they sprang the whole 6 month diet thing on me.
I just want to feel better...and I know this is going to be a TRUE GIFT FROM GOD to me!
I'm trying really hard to do little things everyday to help with my transition...like making better..not perfect food choices, leaving some food on the plate once i'm done. A new thing for me! lol I'm eating lots of fresh salads since I know it'll be quite a while before I can eat it again. I'm eating breakfast now....never have been a breakfast person...but this is for life. Sometimes I only have a smoothie..but I do have something. I also went ahead and started my chewable vitamins..cause I figure it wont hurt. Bought some protein powder to start off with. I'm getting ready!
Wish me luck!

Yes the very things you are doing now are for the rest of your life . Sad thing is that some choose to forget their tool , and regain happens . I see so many come and post .. 100 pounds gone forever .. but this is not true .. this is such a work at it deal . Yes the surgery is for life .. but the habits must always stay good and true to your surgery type .
You are doing so well with the changes you are making .
Do you have your surgeons protocol on what he excpects you to be doing , such as vitamins , suppliments ., protein and exercise ?
It is very important that you follow only his rules .
Always remember that this is for life .. and good habits result in good results . I am 3 years out , no bounce back weight , and very proud to say I abide by the rules of the pouch .. LOL .
Best wishes to you .. you are going to do awesome .

Sounds like you are doing good with the changes you are making ahead of time & your patience. Best wishes to you are you wait for those dates & approval. You might want to consider some other small changes like cutting out sodas, caffiene, etc and drinking water & upping your water intake. I know this was one of the hardest things for me after surgery. We are here for you if you need us.
