I'm in love with my new PCP

Hmm...I posted this last night but don't know where it went.

Anyway, I've already told Mike that he's being replaced & he said ok, but on one condition....I get custody of Matt!!! LOL

All kidding aside, I really like this new guy.  He's young, bright, & appears to keep up with current stuff in his field.  At least I hope he does.  My last PCP turned into a nightmare.  Things like NOT telling me that there was an abnormality detected on one of my breasts (through another test for something else.)  I found out BY ACCIDENT.  I needed a copy of the test for my wls & took the time to actually read the thing.  Even though it turned out ok, I was still ticked cuz my sister is a breast cancer survivor so he should have told me so we could have had it checked.  I mean, I didn't find this out until a year & a half later.  Can you imagine if it turned out I did have cancer?  Well, going that long with no treatment, I dare say I wouldn't be sitting here writing this, now would I?  THEN he tells Mike that he doesn't do prostate exams because their useless!  (you know...turn your head & cough).  ARE YOU KIDDING ME????  Bottom line is whenever there's a need for hands on, the doc was hands OFF!  My poor new guy...he totally understood my concerns & was very reassuring.  He may be eye candy, but we shall see how he is as a doctor.  I already have eye candy at home...LOL!

Hope ya'lls day is going great!

Hugs!
Ann

It is always good to find a dr. that you are confident & comfortable with.  A little extra eye candy is nice too.  Glad things are going well.  Happy Saturday to you.

Good am - Thankfully we can make choices to better our lives and I am GLAD for you that you moved on hopefully to a doc who has YOUR best interest at heart. Breast Cancer runs in our family as well as some friends have dealt with it and other types of cancer and I cannot stress ENOUGH how important it is to question every little bump you might find and still me learning more and more about it even mammograms cannot always detect the cancer. I am VERY happy you've seemingly found someone that listens. In today's society that is hard to come by. Is why I miss my WLS surgeon so much. Eye candy is for sure fun and keeps things peppy huh? Enjoy your Saturday sweetie!
