Did you watch Biggest Loser last night?

My sweetie & I did.  We missed the first 1/2 hour so I missed the stories about the individuals but I pretty much caught on to them.  It was a harse feelig to watch it.  I kept looking at the ladies who weighed close to where I did and felt so many conflicting emotions.  It was inspiring though and I really enjoyed it.  We plan on trying to catch it again and keep up with it. I do have to say that the trainer Kim made a statement that I felt was completely wrong.  At one point she said that looking at the weigh ins she was shocked at how far these people had let themselves go.  I was so angry about that.  I hate it when people assume that as overweight people we intentionally do that to ourselves.  Now I admit that to a point we do.  But at the same time there are so many factors that contribute to obesity and we don't always have control to change it. I definitely saw the Amber dismissal coming.  I was glad to hear that she is continuing in her efforts to lose and has lost 65 lbs to date.  I can't wait to see what where she is at the finale. So I am definitely cheering on the Black team.  Go Losers.

I agree that Kim's comment was not exactly PC, but most of us feel the same way about ourselves.  Even some of the contestants said the same thing about themselves. I was doing laundry and caught only snatches but am looking forward to the Black Team revealing themselves.   Will they reveal themselves to the other teams next week? Did they weigh in their results last night? Does anyone know when Big Medicine returns? Ooooo - so much to look forward to!

Black Team is supposed to reveal itself next week, another 2 hour special.  They did weigh in but it wasn't televised.  I went to NBC.com and got the info. Jez - 345 Hollie - 255 Bill - 334 Julie - 218 Jim - 361 Isabeau - 298

HI there! I watched it and had similar conflicting feelings.  I also thought it was interesting when Bob said he knew that last chance workout was a good one when he saw Pam "puking like a man."  OMGoodness I do not ever want to work out that hard...it can't be overall healthy for your body.  I may or may not continue....trying to cut down on my TV watching....The Black Team angle is quite interesting though.

I died laughing when Bob said that... In all three seasons I have NEVER seen anyone on Bob's team puke... so he's stepped up his training!! HOO RAH :)

That is exactly what I thought about the workout.  How can a work out be good for your body if you are making yourself sick?  Also if they are limiting their intake, they need all the vitamins, nutrients, energy, etc. from their food as they can get.  Can't be good if they are losing their food.  Hope you are having a good day and enjoy the gorgeous weather.

Thanks Court! I think people get sick when they get too hot, are so out of shape and go from 0 to 60 in well ya get the idea .... They'll be fine and there are doctors and such around them so I am sure she/the teams are in good hands.  It's all about healthy weight and lives!  I loved the red teams chant..... LIVE!

So Intense this season! I am a diehard BL fan.  I too am rooting for the black team and I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO glad that Jillian is back. Although Bob is my favorite.  Jillian always crushed the competition in the past, so we'll see if her pattern continues.  I have her work out series DVD and they aren't impossible, but they work you!  I resemble the remark of letting myself go.. I keep asking myself that over and over again.  Over the last couple months, I've learned to let that go and look forward instead of backward.

i haven't really been into it before, I am just not a big tv person, but I think maybe this season I will.  I am definitely rooting for the black team too.

I wasn't too thrilled with Jillian saying what she did about those folks "letting themselves go".  I mean, I say that about myself all the time but I have a rough time not being so hard on myself.  I never would think that about anyone else.   I've just been assuming that Bob and Kim already knew about the surprise black team.  But something in the previews for next week made me second guess.  Anyone else think it is going to be a total surprise for Bob and Kim to see Jillian?? Can't wait until Tuesday night!
