Update, update update
My goodness but I've missed ya'll! Here's how my week has played out thus far:
Last Sat & Sun: actually stayed home instead of going to the farm. Got quite a bit accomplished around the house (but still not done) & Mike finally cleaned out the barn!!!!
Monday was laundry.
Tuesday: bloodwork @ 830; nails & pedicure @ 10; dr appt @ 11 (rescheduled for Friday); lunch w/Jodi @ 1215; back to the house for farrier @ 130; pack for overnight with Mickie in "the city"; 21 year anniversary dinner with Mickie, my best friend! Had a blast! We exchanged gifts (we now both sport lovely gold bracelets & she gave me a small horse statue for the trailer). We gabbed all through dinner then went back to her house & watched her wedding video & the video her hubby did of my anniversary wedding.
Wednesday: appt with surgeon @ 11. He was sooooo pleased with my progress & felt that I do not need a fill yet. Maybe next month! Had lunch with Mike Oxley, our fellow OHer. We had such a good time together...wish we could have visited longer. Thanks for lunch, Mike...next time I'm buying!
Drove home; had argument with son, Matt. He's now decided that living in his car is a better idea because he has it too easy at home which causes him to be lazy & not want to help around the house or look for a job. Whatever. I'm sick of fighting about it. He's 28 years old!!! About time he found his own way even if we do think he's going about it all wrong. But then we're just parents....what do WE know? Note: I spoke to him today...he parked at the Walmart, under a light, for the night. Hooked up with a temp agency that provides jobs on a daily basis...work that day-get paid that day. He's determined to do this the hard way, but his own way. It's hard but I gotta let him work it out for himself. Maybe this IS the best.
So now we're up to today. Found out that we gotta replace the a/c unit on our horsetrailer...$770!!!!! I sure hope we don't get any more 90+ degree days any more cuz I gotta save up for that kinda cash layout.
So now I"m off to the bank & then to the store to get fixins for homemade chicken soup. Ya'll have a blessed day!!!!
You know what though, girls? It feels so freaking fan-damn-tabulous to even be ABLE to do all that stuff!!! Talk about upping the quality of life. It seems like everyday I create a new accomplishment. I actually have to be careful that I don't gush too much...don't wanna become one of those obnoxious braggarts we all know & love...LOL. At least careful around non-wls people...they just don't GET IT, ya know?
I am being good, so not to worry. If I start feeling run out, I just take a break...as long a break as I need....then I'm up & moving again. And since Dr. Mo was so pleased with my loss so far that I didn't need a fill, well, I must be doing SOMETHING right, huh?
Update on the bratt-child: I spoke to him this afternoon & he did, indeed, start a new job today. He's insisting on staying away from home & will probably sleep in his car again, but I did tell him he could come home long enough to shower so that he's clean for work. If he wants to leave, I'm not gonna stop him or rag him about it. He really seems determined to do this on his own & I have to respect him for that, even if I don't agree with the way he's going about it. I guess some people just have to learn the hard way, ya know? But if it works for him, then more power to him.
Ok, gotta go check on dinner. Looks like we'll be going to the farm this weekend after all so I need to prep for that too.
I just love you all sooooo much!!!
