New Discovery
I had bought some of the sugar free carnation instant breakfast back in Jan when I thought surgery was gonna be in Feb and never tried it. Actually forgot it was in my pantry till Jeff found it. Well I tried it and was surprised at how delicious it is!!!!! I know there's only 4 grams of protein in it not including the milk, but it is so yummy, that I just wanted to share... Hope everyone has a great weekend.

I'm in heaven as well as I just found out that crabmeat (fresh jumbo) has:
70 calories
1.5g fat
0 carbs
2g sugars
15g protein
20% calcium
4% iron
I am a BIG seafood eater, especially crabmeat, The meat is nice and soft so it should go down ok. I am praying my tastes will still be the same for it after surgery.
Yes ma'mm ! I called Cat to let her know my stomach bug is now gone and I have some sinus lingering but with meds and rest it should be gone by Tuesday and she said that was fine. I did pass my cold on to hubby and 2 out of 3 kiddos.
Will I be able to leave my hospital bag with you so it will be there when I go to my room after recovery or I could just leave my bag with Todd and have him bring it when he comes over after work. My line of thinking is that I don't really need it until later anyway because I will probably still be so sleepy. I'm now preparing myself for having a slightly rougher recovery time since I came down with this cold/bug so close to surgery. My immune system won't be on par. My neighbor has offered to come pick me up from the hospital while our kids are at school.
I added 1/3 cup of powered milk to mine to add protein. I believe it is 8 extra grams. I used a stick mixer to blend it well. Just something you can try to up it. So early out its hard so every bit helps. Felt like i was sippin all day but got it in. Need to do better everyday. Switchin around because my tastes have changed and cant drink some I have loved in the past. Guess I got burnt out after the same thing for a period of time. Good Luck, Shannon
