I had bought some of the sugar free carnation instant breakfast back in Jan when I thought surgery was gonna be in Feb and never tried it. Actually forgot it was in my pantry till Jeff found it. Well I tried it and was surprised at how delicious it is!!!!! I know there's only 4 grams of protein in it not including the milk, but it is so yummy, that I just wanted to share... Hope everyone has a great weekend. Missy

I'm in heaven as well as I just found out that  crabmeat (fresh jumbo) has: 70 calories 1.5g fat 0 carbs 2g sugars 15g protein 20% calcium 4% iron I am a BIG seafood eater, especially crabmeat, The meat is nice and soft so it should go down ok.  I am praying my tastes will still be the same for it after surgery.

hahaha I know right!  Sometimes my boys will eat crabmeat but Todd (hubby) and daughter hate seafood.

Autumn -Do you think you're still a go for Tuesday?

Yes ma'mm !  I called Cat to let her know my stomach bug is now gone and I have some sinus lingering but with meds and rest it should be gone by Tuesday and she said that was fine.  I did pass my cold on to hubby and 2 out of 3 kiddos. Will I be able to leave my hospital bag with you so it will be there when I go to my room after recovery or I could just leave my bag with Todd and have him bring it when he comes over after work.  My line of thinking is that I don't really need it until later anyway because I will probably still be so sleepy.  I'm now preparing myself for having a slightly rougher recovery time since I came down with this cold/bug so close to surgery.  My immune system won't be on par.  My neighbor has offered to come pick me up from the hospital while our kids are at school.

I added 1/3 cup of powered milk to mine to add protein. I believe it is 8 extra grams. I used a stick mixer to blend it well. Just something you can try to up it. So early out its hard so every bit helps. Felt like i was sippin all day but got it in. Need to do better everyday. Switchin around because my tastes have changed and cant drink some I have loved in the past. Guess I got burnt out after the same thing for a period of time.  Good Luck, Shannon

i got burned out on yogurt right away... ugh.. i want to get some of the flavorless protein powder so i can add that to stuff too, right now the only i can't handle is crystal light, it's still too sweet for me.. i stick to milk and water...

MIssy - Have you tried the Kroger Carb Master yogurt?  It is creamy and doesn't have that sour/tart yogurt taste.  The only problem is the Kiln Creek Kroger usually only has vanilla, raspberry, and peach so you're limited in flavors.  Careful of the raspberry it has seeds. Like your new name!! Cleo

The one in Kiln Creek is right around the corner from me, Logan and I might have to make a trip over there to check it out... Thanks for the heads up..
