Hey Gang!!!

So, ummm....what time should I schedule our dinner reservations for? No, I haven't picked a place yet...gonna try to do that this coming Friday after my nutrition class & lunch with some fellow OHers. But I need a time suggestion. So, what say you Conference attendees??

Hi Tink!!!! I tried to call you last week...had to leave a voice mail. Anyways, in answer to your question, I'm afraid I won't be attending the conference. We have a cavalry demo for the Smithsonian in Front Royal that weekend. Our 4th year in a row so this is scheduled waaaay in advance. However, I WILL be attending the After-Conference Dinner. Christina asked for volunteers to organize this little shindig because she had so much on her plate already, so I jumped in. Tammie, one of our newbies, volunteered to help as well.

So now I just need to know what time to schedule the dinner. I'm having lunch with Mike Oxley & Christina & I'm hoping Tammie will join us, this coming Friday. Then I was intending to go to the restaurants that Courtney suggested & get menus so we can all decide where we want to eat.

Will I still be seeing you this weekend at the picnic? I sure hope so. I have a little "something" I picked up just for you!

Soooo, what time do we want to schedule the dinner? Any suggestions?

I have no clue as to restraunts around there . Maybe someone from that area . Ok understand you are org the dinner . Kewl . I got a message , could barely hear you on it . And was not sure who it was . Sorry I did not call you back . My bad .. LOL .. Cannot wait to see everyone . Maybe today I can do a google search around the area to see what is out there . I have a pretty good list of the restaurants in the area, so not to worry about that one. Fair Lakes has a good selection. I will see if I can collect their menus on Friday, after lunch. What I need is a TIME to schedule. Six pm? Seven pm? I don't know what the conference schedule is so I don't know when the folks NOT attending the conference need to meet up with ya'll.

Logans -- This one has really good food!!
Joe's CrabShack -- LOVE this place too...neat ambiance & who doesn't love seafood?
The Blue Iguana -- never been, no idea what kinda food
Applebee's -- run of the mill family restaurant
Red Robin -- don't know
Olive Garden -- who doesn't know about this one??
Don Puablos -- Mexican food...oh yeah!!!
Malibu Grill Steakhouse -- never been
Houndstooth Grill (at the Hyatt I think) -- never been

I agree with Courtney....6ish sounds like a good time. Those of us that aren't staying at the hotel won't have anywhere to go (home would be too far!) if we wait too long.

According to the schedule on the events page, the conference stuff should be over about 5. I would say maybe do the dinner at 6 or 6:30 to give everyone who is at the conference a chance to freshen up etc. and for those coming in just for dinner to get there. Here are some of the restaurants in the Fair Lakes area (within a few minutes of the conference location) that I mentioned before. Logans Joe's CrabShack The Blue Iguana Applebee's Red Robin Olive Garden Don Puablos Malibu Grill Steakhouse Houndstooth Grill (at the Hyatt I think) Centreville & Chantilly are all very close also so those are other options to explore if needed. I am so excited. I can't wait to see everybody. :)
