I am feeling pretty good about myself today..although, at the same time, slightly disappointed.  MY scale says I've lost 36 pounds but, the doc's scale says 30 pounds.  SO, I know now, that my scale is 6 pounds different from the "official" scale.  So, that was the disappointment part...I almost felt like I gained 6 pounds in an instant...HOWEVER... I am SO psyched and proud that I've lost 30 pounds!  That's a pound a day and Dr. Mo said I'm right on track.  We briefly discussed what to expect in the coming months and also what goal he felt is appropriate for me.  He said that "ideally" I should weigh around 130 but, that most people don't want to get down that far for fear that they look unhealthy, etc.  So, we set a "reasonable" goal for 145-150 and that's fine with me.   Dr. Mo was proud of me too...since I'm on target, he knows I'm doing all I can do.  He mentioned to me that he did make my pouch smaller than he would make for someone who started at a lower weight than I did.  So, I was happy he told me that because I was beginning to think it was not good that I could only get in the protein portion of my meals.  The protein has been easier for the past two days.  I have some unflavored that I'm still working with and it's fine in most beverages...not too bad.  I bought a new liquid vitamin...because the chewables are making me so full in the morning, I'm having trouble getting in breakfast.  Anyway...that's my update.  I'm tired today and apparently lunch did not agree with me..>I had my first vomiting episode and it was not NEARLY as awful as I had anticipated...and Lord have Mercy I felt better afterward! Peace!

You are doing awesome .. do not let the scale haunt you . While I am a scale pimp .. yes I have weighed everyday for 3.5 years . I will always weigh . I weigh in the mornings , and if I go to the doc , I expect a gain , as by mid after noon one can put on fluid , add the weight of your clothing .. and wala .. you got 6 pounds .  In order to be accountable , I tell people I mentor to weigh . How will you ever know how you are doing . Now some only weigh when they go to the docs office, some only weigh once a week . What ever your preference , you must know in order to keep track .  In the begining so many of us get caught up in the numbers . I was told that my goal weight was 160 . Now I am 5,.8 mind you . I weigh today at 3.6 years out 125 pounds . Now this is after 2 rounds of plastics , but I feel and look good and that is what matters .  I just say .. Loose the weight , and see where your journey takes you . You have so much to look forward to . Just keep it real .  Take care and again , Congrats on a great start !!  Natalie

Sounds likeyou are doing a great job.  Like Natalie said there is a water weight gain as the day goes on and a clothes difference.  I would always wear the lightest clothes I could get by with and knew that I was still going to weigh in about 2-3 lbs more than home.  I too used to weigh in every day.  I haven't been now but that is basically because the scale is at my place and have been staying at my sweeties.  I still weigh about once a week so I know where I am at.  You are doing fabulously and should be very proud and pleased with your success so far.  Keep up the great work.

Lisa, Lisa, LISA!!!!  I am sooooo proud of you!!!!!  You go, Girl!!! Now, about this weighing in stuff.  I've made a decision.  The next time I go see Dr. Mo, I'm wearing my bathrobe & when I step up to the scale I'm gonna be NEKID!!!  Oooooh, I just got a mental image of that....hmmm, maybe not?

Hugs!
Ann

I just KNEW what you were going to say, but you still made me belly (smaller) laugh out loud!!!  My mental image would be of the DOCTOR'S EXPRESSION not how I'd look!

I am a weigh every day girl too. It helps me track trends in conjunction with using sparkpeople.com. I say go by your scale and take the 6 lb difference! That is good that your protein is getting better. If you like crapes (sp?) I have a receipe for Cottage cheese pancakes that are YUMMO. Keep feeling good!

What a wonderful check up you had!!!  I weigh every day and the only weight I'm tracking is from my scale, not the doctor's.  I think my scale is right on target with his because I weigh at his office in clothes in the pm and come home and it's the same on my scale.  However, I weigh first thing in the a.m. , as Ann says nekkid, and this is more consistent timing and not dependent on which clothes I happen to have on. I try not to let an unmoving scale worry me because I know I'm sticking to the plan and I know the tool will work.  Someone else has control of how fast or slow the process will be.  I'm just along for the ride. Hope you enjoy your ride!
