I got home a couple hours ago but my friend insisted I stay with her until hubby got home.  I want to thank everyone for the kinds words.  RIckie, you make a wonderful angel and I felt so much more at ease with you there.  I hurt quite a bit right now but I cannot seem to get into any position but standing or sitting straight up, even on the pain meds.  So far I've drank about 70 grams of protein today and haven't had any dumping at all.  I'm going to go attempt to get more comfy as my back and stomach are killing me.

I am horrible about keeping a journal.  I wish I could sit here long enough to write about my journey but I just don't have the attention span to do so.

I had gotten myself up at 5:30am in the hospital to start making my own protein shakes.  I figured if I got up early and sipped allday I could get in around the required amount, plus water. I had a smart forme tomato soup for dinner.  Was bland but better than nothing.  I was even able to get comfortable laying down on my bed, and got up without assistance!  Sitting here sipping on one last 8oz chocolate shake before I get ready for bed.

Hey there Miss Autumn, you big loser you!!!!  I'm so happy to see you posting again.  From all that I've read so far you're doing amazingly well & I'm so proud of you!!!!  Just think...in a couple of weeks all the discomfort will be but a fleeting memory.

Hugs!

Thank you :) I just went for a 1/2 mile walk with hubby and it felt so good.  It didn't hurt to climb up the stairs either.  I still feel hungry..actually I'm craving crackers..I always crave crackers after a surgery but I know I cannot have them. I'm doing well because of all the support from Cleo66 and you gals.  I was able to prepare and educate myself before surgery and it has made a huge impact on my recovery.

YAY AUTUMN! Way to go! I hope you start feeling more comfortable, I know I did about a week after my surgery. So did they do an upper GI? Nasty isn't it? LOL. I wish you the best of luck on your new journey and I'm really sorry I didn't get by to see you. Hugs & kisses!  ~*Stacy*~
