NSAID?

Hi all- I have a cold trying to come on....first one since surgery! I used to take DayQuil to clear up the works....is that still an approved OTC medicince or is it an NSAID? HELP!

Hey Christina this is the information I can give you. Not sure what you are able to take but DayQuil does not contain Nsaid's. 

Active Ingredients (in each LiquiCap) Purpose Acetaminophen 325 mg . . . . . . . . . . . Pain reliever Phenylephrine HCl 5 mg . . . . . . . . Nasal decongestant Just good ole fashion tylenol with a decongestant! Hope this helps!

That is fine to take. It has the same ingredients as Tylenol Cold, which is on the approved list I have and that I believe Jackie has as well. Feel better!

As far as I know we can still use it if we want but because it is time released it does not stay in our bodies as long as before.... Jackie

As they said it is okay.  After talking to my pharmicist, on the time release meds, what I do (specifically with Mucinex) is instead of taking two pills every 12 hours, I take one, then the other one in 6 hours.  Helps to keep it in my system & I don't exceed the dosage amount.
