The last couple of days I have had a sore neck (muscles on either side) and now it has extended to the inside part of my shoulders.  Has anyone else experienced this?  It bothers me so much I am having problems sleeping!

I haven't experienced this but have heard that gas can cause it. I have heard that walking and sipping water can help it - but if in doubt you really should call your doctor.... Jackie

It is probably a combination of gas inside you and the anesthia.  Anesthia can cause back, shoulder pains as a side effect.  Didn't effect me so much with my rny but after my gall bladder surgery my back & shoulders were very sore.  Keep walking & sipping and see if that helps, try a heating pad or muscle rub.  As Jackie said, call your doctor if you are unsure or it is unbearable.

Girl I hurt everywhere.  I literally feel your pain.  Rite Aid's version of ThermaCare work really good at half the price.  Maybe sticking one of those on your shoulders while you are walking or asleep will help at least soothe the muscles.

Sorry you're so uncomfortable, sweetie.  Like the others have said...might be a good time to call your doc.  That's what you pay him the big bucks for!  Hope you feel better soon!

Hugs!
Ann
