I really need help, y'all!

I am SOOOOO uber-frustrated.  I cannot get all of my protein in and I really need a LOT of support and suggestions here... In addition to all of the other stuff I've tried up to this point, I got my protein bullets and they are GROSS with a capital GROSS!   I tried one in tea, in water, by itself...yuck yuck yuck.  I am awaiting my AchievOne. I am just at a total loss as to what to do.  I know that I have to get it in and I just don't know HOW I'm going to do it.  I'm frustrated and I'm really rather upset about it.   I do know that I can tolerate Unjury strawberry but, there's only so much you can drink of that before wanting to be ill.  I have not gotten any of the chocolate or vanilla although I know that I was able to get that down at the hospital.   At home, I have Nectar Twisted cherry...it's been opened but, only used once, some Isopure powders (all of which are icky to me), some of the liquid isopure, now, I have 3 cases of these bullets that I don't think I'll ever be able to drink. If anyone has suggestions or samples or anything that can help me, I'd appreciate it.  I am really feeling overwhelmed at this one simple thing that I should be able to handle and just can't.

If you like AchievOne you may like Nectars Cappuchino . It is pretty good , you can make it in coffee . Or you can get a Vanilla type protein powder and make your own coffee based drink .  There are so many protein drinks out there .  Micellar Milk  Muscle Milk  Nectar Products  Unjury  Designer Whey  I had to try a few until I found one I liked . All I can say is to keep trying . You will find one .. A1 is the best as far as I am concerned , next to Nectar . I do the Carribean Cooler . I mix it in Cherry Limeaid from Walmart . Not bad .. but will do until my shipment of A1 gets here .  Best to you ,  Natalie

Nat's given you some good info - there is also muscle milk pudding.  I highly recommend the Micellar Milk.  You can use to in place of milk.  In fact, have you tried making your protein drinks with milk instead of water?  I mean like chocolate, strawberry, vanilla type shakes?  It will add a bit of richness to it, that has helped me overcome the protein taste.  That. and lots of ice (like a milk shake). Also, I get basic flavors like chocolate and vanilla and add a bit of fruit to them or daVinci sugar free syrups.  That helps with the boredom of drinking the same thing day in and day out. When I was newly post op, I would add a bit of plain protein powder to my broth, yogurt, etc.  Every little bit helps. And make sure that you make every meal count.

DId you try the Unjury unflavored or chicken soup? I really like the unjury vanilla and Micellar Milk. All I can say is keep trying!

I totally agree trying milk instead of water. I always use skim milk, but my Nut said that 1% or 2% would not hurt. I like WonderSlim protein shakes / puddings. I have chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, and strawberry creme smoothie. I have samples of these if you want. Joe

I put my protein bullets into a large glass of Crystal Light that is more concentrated (less water than suggested) and lots of ice. I hardly taste the protein and it is an easy way to get in 42 grams of protein. Good luck.

Yep I always used milik too.  It is hard to find something that works but so important.  Keep on trying.  You will get there.  When I was first out of surgery, one of my mom's coworker gave us this recipe that she used.  I never actually got around to trying it but she loved it.  Maybe it will help.  :)

1 box sugar free jello chocolate fudge pudding (can substitute any sugar free pudding flavor)

2 ½ (or 3) C. fat free milk

4 scoops Unjury unflavored protein powder

4 Ziploc disposable round containers w/ lids (1 cup size)

 

Put pudding, milk and Unjury in blender. Mix well. Immediately pour even portions into the 4 containers. Cover. Freeze. Pull out of freezer. Let sit for about an hour and enjoy!
