Anyone have a stricture?
I am having an EGD on Friday because the thought is that I have one developing. Yesterday and today I have not been able to keep any food at all in my body. Liquids are still going in all right...but, everything hurts. I consulted Dr. Mo today and he said that as long as liquids are still going down I can wait until Friday and I'm fine with that but, to take meself to the ER if that ceases to be the case.
So, if anyone can let me know how they felt, what they experienced, etc. I'd appreciate it. I'm a little irritated...not really worried.

Good am Lisa,
I had 2 strictures. What you are describing very much fits what I felt at the time. It started with foods feeling like they were stuck and would eventually bring them back up. I then began pushing the liquids even more thinking the foods weren't agreeable although they'd done fine previously. Then, I noticed it more dramatically when I could not even get fluids to go down and if I could it was short lived. It is GREAT you've contacted your doc about this. It became so uncomfortable I DID end up going to the ER because I became a bit dehydrated which is NOT a great thing for us. I had the 1st Endoscopy and thought that would be the end of it. Nope, had another and that one took care of it. If you would like you can read my OH profile and it will tell you the process I went through and gives in detail what an Endoscopy is/does. You are in my thoughts and prayers. I surely hope you get this taken care of. Keep us posted!

Never had one but it sounds like what I have heard about them. Glad to hear you have contacted Dr. Mo already. If you do need to get yourself to the ER please do. If he didn't suggest coming out to which ever hospital you had surgery at then I suggest it to you. That way he can be involved in it all. Will be praying for you.
I had one athe 3 or 4 motnh point and sounds like what you have too.
Foamies on nothing, living on fluids and they weren't comfortable.
They copuldn't get the endoscopy into my pouch so they did a 3 cm stretch while I was out and I 've been fine since. Never felt a thing. The stretch worked well. I feared being able to eat too much afterward or having hunger. Neither occurred.
Sounds like you are being diagnoised correctly and treated accordingly.
Hope it works for you as well as mine did for me.
Hello Lisa:
Well I have had two strictures. One at 2 months out, and another at 8 months out. Love the versaid, the cant remember nothing drug. Just make sure they give you enough, with my first it wasnt and woke up when it was being removed. I have also had to get an ENDo done to remove a stuck water chestnut, it was lodged...never laugh and try to chew...Gross.
Foamies are not fun, but tends to become a part of life. If you eat too much, your nose will run. Its different, but well worth it. ( well, I think anyhow)
Any more Questions, please dont hesitate to ask.
Take care, And God Bless.
