I go on 10/16/07 for my blood gas work (I was sooooo hoping to avoid this part) and then I go to Dr. Northup's office afterward to pick my date. I'm going to try to get it the week before Thanksgiving!!

Congratulations! I dreaded the blood gas part too. Stared out of the window at the pretty magnolias all around UVA. Best wishes for you. Let us know your date! Hold on for the journey of a lifetime. Its been a ride with all its ups and downs. Dont think I would have made it thru alot of it without this surgery and the great friends for support thru this. My drs said I wouldnt be walking unassisted at this point without losing my weight. The pain is bad enough now most days. Cant imagine it at 358 lbs again. So excited for you! Prayers for you!
