Three week postop checkup

I got to go see my DS today for my three week postoperative check and things went great!!  I am down 27 pounds, he said all my incisions looked great.  I can start back at the gym on Monday.  The NUT also moved me to stage 3 soft foods for one week and then next Thursday I can go to stage 4 regular foods.  Yay!  It has been great so far.  I have not dumped or gotten naseous at all - but then again I am not deviating from the eating plan one bit!  It is just not worth it to me to get sick.  You all have a happy Friday tomorrow, as it will be my last day off before returning back to work on Monday.

Sounds like you are doing great.  As for your food transitions, remember to chew chew chew.  As you move to the denser foods that is when you will fill up quicker & get to the point of things getting stuck.  Meats are usually the hardest.  Do you have papaya enzyme?  If not get some.  Also remember that when you go back to work you may tire easily.  If you feel the need to rest more, do it.  The other hard thing is adjusting your eating/drinking schedule to work hours.  Take a look at your times now and try to plan how you will switch things up.  Enjoy your weekend and let us know if  you have any questions.

That is great!!!   - you are doing very well. Be careful what you are doing at th gym though because it is still early to be doing anything strenuous - your insides still have to heal..... Enjoy real food lol!! Jackie
