Hi Natalie-It was nice meeting you and the other VA WLS people last night. A poster here asked for the recipe to the pumpkin pie. Here's what I made. Glad you enjoyed it. Maggie 286/173/145   Protein Pumpkin pie (courtesy of Plumpkitty) Ingredients: 22 Fl oz can pure pumpkin NOT pumpkin pie filling (or one and a half 15 oz cans) 6 scoops vanilla protein powder 12 oz can evaporated skim milk 6 large eggs 1/2 cup Splenda brown sugar blend 1 tbsp cinamon 1/2 tsp ginger 1/4 tsp ground cloves 1/4 tsp nutmeg (you can substitute 1 tsp of pumpkin spice in place of all above spices, except cinnamon, if you have it) Pre heat oven to 400. Mix sugar and spices in a small bowl, set aside. Lightly whip 6 eggs in a large bowl, add in pumpkin and mix thoroughly (a wire whisk does the job well) before sprinkling in sugar mix. Blend protein powder and milk in a seperate bowl with a hand mixer, then add to the pumpkin bowl mixing well before filling 18 to 24 lightly greased muffin tins. Reduce oven temp to 350 and bake for 10 minutes. Reduce heat again to 300 and bake for 40 - 50 minutes. Pies are cooked when a knife is inserted into the middle and comes out clean. A warning: Don't use the paper or foil muffin cup liners, the pumpkin sticks horribly.

Thanks Natalie...it's not been an easy journey, and I certainly have not done it perfectly, but it's been worth every step. Have a great time on your trip!

Missed seeing you at the dinner.  Hope everything is going well.  We really need to get together soon for dinner or coffee or something.

I agree. I was sad to miss the dinner, but needed to take advantage of the "parent time" since it's so rare as well.  PM me your free times...we'll make something happen!

Thanks Natalie.  It is the strength & knowledge of those whose journey came before mine that helped me to be able to be so successful.  I only hope to be as helpful to others. It was nice to be able to see some new people and a few faces I already know.  Maybe we can start getting together more regularly in the NOVA area.

Hello Natalie, It was good to see you on Saturday along with so many others who have been such an inspiration to me. Now, about those Oreos, I went at lunchtime and found them at Safeway, hiding behind a display. OMG, they are to die for. I wonder how many one can eat before the sugar alcohols kick in. Anyway, thanks for sharing. Once again, you looked wonderful. Donna
