More exercise!

OK, three months out and I've lost 65 lbs. Weight is coming off slowly. Since walking wasn't doing much I bought a "Trim Rider" (kinda like a rowing machine except you work against your own weight by pulling back on the handlrbars and push with your feet to lift yourself up) at a yard sale. The first time I got on it I could only lift myself 10 times before my arms gave our. Soon I was up to 50 times, then 100 and tonight I did 150 times. I can actually feel some muscle in arms again. And since I made space in the garage for this machine and my treadmill, I can do my work out when I get home at 8:00 PM and then go inside to shower and get ready for bed. No long drive to a gym and no cost except for the $10 I paid for the machine. I love it! This weekend I'll set my old stereo up so I can listen to "my music" while I work out. Of course my brain is not doing as well, since I missed my three month appointment today. Rescheduled for Monday at 2:15 PM. I go for my fasting blood work tomorrow. Unfortunately I also missed Anne this morning because I had to go to Mount Vernon Hospital to help train another manager. I was very sad when I got back and heard my voice mail from her.

Congrats on your weight loss! Its wonderful what we can accomplish once we put our minds to doing them. I LOVE listening to music when I exercise. I take my iPod walking and otherwise have on the stereo. Sorry you missed your appt but Monday is only a few days away. Take care....

Michael- This sounds really cool...and way to GO!!!!  I turned my dining room into a fitness room after I had surgery.  The 1st year, I bought a really nice treadmill (with a TV on it and everything), last Feb I bought a nice ellipticle, in April I bought the Total Body Gym and a 20 in tv for the room.  I have cable in there, and everything. My point is...for me, having my own mini gym has been more beneficial to me as I have no excuses for not working out.  I have no where to go other than the next room int he house and I can workout whenever I want to and wearing whatever I want to (Yes...I've been known to workout in my pj's). So...keep up the grat work!

Sounds like you are doing great.  The toning of the muscles is going to help with that skin.  Making it available at home is great.  Music will definitely be a plus. It stinks that you had to miss your appointment and miss Ann.  But I am sure that she still loves ya and understands. Just a reminder, you are hitting the 3 month mark and that seems to be a normal place for a stall or slow down in weight loss.  Remember that is the body's natural response to take a break and figure out what you are doing to it.  Don't lose hope, it will bounce back.  Keep up the great work.
