Ok so I hit goal last week. This afternoon, after lunch, I weighed in at 128. I am concerened on too much weight loss. Geez, I never thought I'd say anything like that. How do you maintain? What is that special medium between eating and excersise? I am feeling a bit weak tonight. I have eaten. I had a banana, yogurt,6 inch turkey sub(not eating all the bread), pretzels, cheesey chicken for dinner and 2 sugar free cookies, protein drink. So what am I missing? I am going to call my surgeon tomorrow. Thanx for listening and any advice.

I will take a stab at it here and say you are not eating enough protein or balanced meals. Each meal should be 4-6 ounces of protein and some veg and maybe a little fruit.....maybe a little carb and additionally 50 - 75 ounces of protein through protein drinks to ensure you are getting enough protein (most days) - also you seem to be eating a little too much carbs - not balancing them correctly. You need to balance how much exercise you are doing against how many calories you should be consuming. You could use www.fitday.com to help you with this. I have just purchased a Body Bugg to help me do that (www.bodybugg.com) but it hasn't arrived yet so I am not sure if it will work - (of course I bought mine off of ebay - much cheaper)
I hope this helps but you need to listen to your surgeon - but I think he may think you are not eating enough....
Jackie
Hey Jackie! I checked out fitday.com & that's a pretty cool tool! Thanks for sharing that. Maybe you could post a thread just about it, suggesting it to everybody...pretty darned neat! I can see it's gonna be time consuming at first, until I get all the info put in & a regular regime set up, but it will certainly help me track what goes in my face. NOW I'll know what's really going on...muuuaaaahhhh!!!!
On re-reading what I just wrote, I'll post the thread & if you have comments/suggestions, I know you'll pop in your two cents, right? That would be so great!!
Again, thanks for sharing!
I really can't offer you too much advice here since I am newly post-op but I would definitely check with my NUT to see what they suggest. Are you still writing down or tracking everything you eat and drink? Let us know what they say so we can learn too
You look fantastic and have so much to be proud of at this point.

Morning! Glad you are calling your surgeon. That is first and foremost. Then, are you monitoring how much your protein intake is? From what you've listed here I don't see very much of it. Also, how about your fluids intake (water, Crystal Light)?? Are you getting in enough? If you are not you could be feeling a bit weak from that as well. How about vitamins and have you considered changing up your exercise routine as well?? I focus on how I'm feeling and keep in mind all these things and there are usually indicators telling me what I'm missing. I use a checklist each day and make it a fun reminder of all I need to get in so that really helps me. Keep in mind everyday we will get it perfect but we gotta try. Good luck and keep us posted.
One last thing...how are your labs? Everything ok there?
Have a great day!

Morning Kat,
I am starting today to track everything again. MJy labs at 6 months were great. I don't do labs again till my year. I have been taken all my vits everyday. But you are right, not enough water or protein lately. I am getting back on track today. It is soooo easy to fall into old habits. Thanx.
Calling the surgeon/nut. is the best idea to start with. I think that you are probably not eating enough. My meal for a day wouldn't be much different than yours other than I would have fruits or veggies at each meal along with the other stuff. Not getting enough protein or water could make you feel weak. Also are you taking all your vitamins. You mentioned something about throwing up a lot the other day, this could mean some deficiencies (sp?) with vitamins or water. Keep us updated.
