Update...stricture update
Hello all!
I had my EGD done at 3pm today and guess what?! The primary cause of my pain and issues with food was a staple...LOL. Apparently, a little staple worked its way inside of my pouch and was hanging there and just catching food on it every time I ate. I also did have some more closing at the stricture site. However, when the GI doc removed the staple, he said that the stricture relaxed right away and he didn't have to dilate.
I ate dinner with NO problems tonight and feel so much better...I was really in quite a bit of pain. I do have to giggle at the whole thing because of all things to have wrong...it was an OFFICE SUPPLY. LOL
So, all in all, I'm good! I stepped on the scale for them at the hospital today and was surprised to see 288...that's 60 total pounds! Yippee! I love this tool.
