Happy New Year One and Al!!

Just wanted to wish all the many people here a Happy New Year and a successful 2008!  For those just starting the journey - it will be challenging at times but oh so rewarding! 2008 will be a very important year for you - it is the year all of your dreams will start to come true!  It will be hard work, scary at times but hang in there - you can do it - we are all here to support you! For those already in the middle of your journey - you have already succeeded in 2007 and will have the oppportunity to do well in 2008 or get ready to maintain - or change your approach to make your tool work better for you..... again we are all here to support you For those of us more than 1 or 2 years out - we still have a tough year ahead of us as we continue to make the correct choices - or get back on track if we slipped - this is an never ending battle we have embarked on - no such thing as a couple of weeks off. That could send us back on the path we just left! So we still need support to keep going when choices are tough or stress rears its ugly head. We still need a pat on the back sometimes. I wanted to say how proud and honored I am to be part of this unique family as we continue to go into the next year supporting and caring for one another. Some of us have faced many challenges this year but we successfully got through all of them. For those who had health and family issues, I am praying for a much better 2008 for you. As we get to the last few hours of this year, I would like all of us to reflect on 2007 and what we actually achieved and focus on the good. Look at all we did!!  Most of us lost weight or maintained - some of us had plastic surgery to remove all the excess skin - some of us changed our hairstyles - our looks - and friends and family hardly recognized us.  We made new friends and kept in touch woth older ones. The biggest achievements we could have made was to become healthier people - and we did that! I am so proud of all of you! In 2008, I hope we can all get together more and get to know each other better. We all have a lot to give to each other  - and support and friendship is certainly top of the list. For those of you who opened up your hearts to me and became good friends,  I thank you! So thank you all very much for your support and friendship - you cannot even begin to imagine what it means to me.  I hope to spend 2008 growing with all of you..... HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU ALL! Thanks Jill - you have been very motivational to me too and a good friend! As you can see I was feeling very sentimantal and blessed when I wrote this....... I admire you for running the marathons as you do - I wish I could do that but I don't have what it takes........ you do!! I am sure 2008 will be really good for both of us!! Jackie
