Hernia repair

Hello Everyone,      My surgeon is hoping to do hernia repair by laproscopic. I was wondering how long the recovery time could be and would there be drains? Thanks, Cindy

Cindy, the best of luck to you on this.  I know you will be relieved and thrilled when it is over.  I have not had a hernia repair but I would expect the recovery time could be similar to your RNY lap.   Let us know if you need anything.  See you soon!

Hi Nancy,    THank you for the encouragement. Congratulations on your next journey...over seas! Unfortunately I had open RNY, so no idea about lap...but guessing recovery time is shorter. I e-mailed Dr. SChirmer to find out-filling out FMLA forms. Cindy
