2008 Walk from Obesity - Walk on the Capitol.

I wanted to see how many of us would be interested in particapting in this walk . I have had the privilege to do one of these and had such great fun. I was hoping we could get enough people together and walk this as a group or team . If there is enough that want to do this , we could caravan from a central point down to DC . Let me know if you are interested. If so we can begin working on the logistics of it all . I will be there with my walking shoes on . To register - go to the link below . The Walk on the Capitol is a history-making event bringing together individuals who are affected by obesity to Walk and raise awareness and National attention of obesity and its health and quality of life impact in/on our society.

This event is a first of its kind, as individuals will be gathering in Washington, DC, to Walk on the National Mall and spread a powerful message to government of the need for expanded efforts to manage this rising obesity epidemic.

I am already registered and have been for a while. So are some of my support group. Dr Halmi's office is putting a large group together as well togo and travel up by bus etc and special hats or bibs etc with his practise name on it. I think it is a great opportunity to let the government know we are not going to go away! It is a great cause and good fun!! Jackie

Yeah!! That will work!! That is the last day of school for me so I will be off by 12 or 1...plenty of time to get downtown!! Lots of things coming up that I am excited over......May 3rd conference.....DC101's chili cook off (Stained, Live, Finger Eleven, Seether, Chevelle) on May 10th in China Town......Taking Michelle to the zoo one day in May.......the walk......Busy girl over here! But its all exciting things!! Also, James turns 18 on May 4th......I can hardly believe!!

SO......we will be spending some good quality time together SOON.....and I cant WAIT!!

Miss you and love you back!!!
