Thankful for the easy, grateful for the hard & hopeful for tomorrow. You are going to be just fine. I KNOW IT! What you are feeling is perfectly normal. This is such a new process for you that you are going to encounter insecurites as to whether you have made the right decision, whether all will go ok, etc. YOU ARE NORMAL......
Now...take a deep breath, wipe the tears and move forward. Your appointment will go great and your next post to us will be laughing that all went well. ((((hugs to you))))

hi Jill. thanks for writing. you always have inspiring things to say and read. i don't know if i have ever been called normal but it is good to know that i am having "normal" feelings. And how true you are regarding my next post. Here I sit, laughing at how silly I was for feeling those thoughts. Thank you Jill, so much for taking the time to write me back. Hope you are feeling better and that your injury heals soon. Hugs to you!
I'm someone who basically skated by the skin of my teeth into surgery (the surgeon required at that time that if you were on a CPAP, that you be on it a full 7 nights, and I had it EXACTLY 7 nights before my surgery date). I also ran around like crazy to get all the preop testing in (it was only about 6 weeks from my consult to my surgery date... not very long in terms of surgery preparation). Given this, I can tell you with certainty that the doctors are NOT out to get you, and they're doing all that they can to ensure you have a safe and successful surgery, ON TIME. If today (good luck!) is your final preop date, I also believe that they would have said something by now about your bloodwork.
Don't stress about it so much -- or you'll drive yourself crazy by next Tuesday night.
Again, good luck!
